Consultancy Services

SiP provides full consultancy services to assist clients with hardware, software, networking, Internet issues, licensing advice and more.

SiP’s consultants have extensive experience in IT management, software development methodologies and network management, ranging from end-user support through to system migrations, network audits and complete IT infrastructure overhauls.
Some of the company’s recent projects have included:

  • Detailed analysis of a large scale Cisco network utilising a wide range of old and new technologies, including proposing and implementing several major changes to improve stability and security.
  • Emergency troubleshooting of a vital VPN link between two firms (this was a new client where SiP had no prior knowledge of the environment or systems in use).
  • Fully managed IT services provision to a small insurance services firm. This client was technology-dependant but had little in-house support capability. SiP provided IT support ranging from end-user advice to server management and major project work when needed.  SiP also managed the IT aspect of the client’s business during two office relocations and actively assisted in plans to recruit internal IT staff.
  • Software development for a large managed service company providing training and software skills to their internal development staff.

SiP firmly believes in ongoing training to ensure staff stay up to date with all the technologies used. SiP provides full funding for staff training to MBA and Masters level which allows staff to gain further knowledge of the theory to supplement the practical skills used on a day to day basis. The team holds certifications from Cisco, Microsoft and Lucent Technology.

SiP is also a Microsoft Certified Partner and therefore has access to the latest technologies as they are released as well as support from Microsoft Technical Services.
SiP’s approach to systems consultancy mirrors its approach to software development and works in partnership with clients to provide the solution required.
