How We Work

SiP's development approach is based upon the JIGSAW™ framework. The aim of developing a core development framework was to make available a common process and code base to allow SiP to develop Microsoft® N-Tier applications which are database driven, have strong business drivers with specific rules, and have rich client front ends that can run either inside the client's network or over the Internet.

In designing the JIGSAW™ framework, the emphasis was, and still is, on code re-use and intelligent development. SiP planned the development of a technical core which would provide the common functionality required in all development projects SiP would undertake. With the core functions abstracted away from the business, SiP is in a prime position to address multiple business needs and multiple clients without having to redevelop a large portion of code base per client.

The separation of the projects into a technical aspect and a business aspect enables clients to focus on their own important business drivers, whilst being supported by SiP which looks after the technical issues of development. SiP also ensures that the technology remains current thus extending the life cycle of the client application.

The license fee allows the usage of the JIGSAW™ core, but any source code developed in SiP's business streams can be inherited by the client and then independently modified and maintained by the client - if so desired.
